De-stress to de-acne: report number three

Last week I dropped the tai chi because it wasn’t my thing. I picked up yoga  to replace it. Wow. Of my wow! This yoga class at my gym will really kick you in to shape. I leave the class feeling like someone yanked evil spirits out of my body. Holding those positions for a couple minutes at a time will get your muscles quaking. Seriously, I don’t think that my arms have ever shaken so much, even when I’m trying to push my maximum lifting weight to new levels.

In other words, I like the yoga class. I like it a whole lot.

The exhaustion that I get from yoga has made it a little tougher for me to read at the end of the day. I’ve had to push my bedtime into granny mode to make sure that I don’t fall asleep with a book on my face (yes, that actually happened one night).

The meditation is still going very well. Everyone should try it. It doesn’t take that much time out of the day, but it gives you just enough to feel more mentally alert and refreshed.

Mental health measurement: 4. That’s a big improvement over last week. I’m giving props to a hardcore yoga class for making me feel like a million bucks in my mind as well as in my head.

Acne measurement: 6. A little bit better, I think. No drastic improvements, but it hasn’t really been all that long, especially considering that I wasn’t getting what I wanted from tai chi and that took up two weeks of the experiment.

I’m feeling pretty good about this.
