I’ve always wanted something that could just suck the pus out of my pimples. I don’t know what the actual effect of a pimple vacuum would be, but the idea sounds awesome to me. Somehow I just think that it would be a great relief to have all of that nastiness sucked or pulled out of the pore.
For a while I thought that the Biore strips were the best things ever. Sure, they don’t suck the pus out, but they pull it out. The Biore strips, however, became kind of expensive. If you’re someone who gets a lot of blackheads, then you end up using them all the time, which means buying a whole bunch of strips.
For a while I thought about developing my own pimple vacuum. It wouldn’t even need to be motorized, although that might be kind of cool too. You could just use a pump. Then I saw this video and I realized that a vacuum probably does more harm than good.
Just look at how red the surrounding area gets! There’s now way that’s good for your skin. (Try not to pay much attention to this dude’s buttstache.)
That’s not so great. A good idea, but it doesn’t work very well.
What if the pump included a heater at the end, though? The heater would warm up the sebum, making it easier to remove from the pore. Then you wouldn’t have to use much suction at all, thus reducing the irritation that old dude above gets from his makeshift sucker.
I wonder if that would work. I looked all over the place for a design that I thought would really provide excellent results, but I keep finding crap that looks more painful that helpful. I’m not into that at all.
Still, the big question is: does it cause more harm to squeeze the zit or suck the pus out?
